Blake Carroll

Blake is a licensed CPA and currently serves as a Manager on the People/Talent Team at a Big 4 public accounting firm in Raleigh, NC. He earned his BSBA and MAC degrees from UNC - Chapel Hill and began his career in public accounting in September 2017. Initially working in Federal Tax for five years, he was promoted to Manager before transitioning to the Tax Transformation and Technology Team for a year. In August 2023, he joined the People Team as a Deployment Consultant. Blake lives just outside of Raleigh with his wife of five years, Emily, and their two labradoodles, Kare and Taz. Fun fact: He is a big fan of Lidl and even appeared in one of their TV commercials.

Blake's CPA exam journey began during the third quarter of his MAC year, once he had accumulated enough credit hours to sit for the exam. He successfully passed BEC and REG on his first attempt, followed by FAR after two months of dedicated study post-graduation, and concluded with a passing score in Audit.

Throughout his time in public accounting, Blake has developed a passion for helping others pass the CPA exam, recognizing the immense challenge and dedication it requires. Earning a CPA license is one of the most significant achievements in many professionals' careers, and Blake firmly believes that with the right habits, mindset, and skills, anyone is capable of passing.

Drawing from his personal experience, extensive interactions with accountants at all stages of their careers, and countless hours of self-study, Blake has developed a course designed to teach the essential strategies for CPA exam success. His approach ensures that passing the exam becomes a matter of "when" rather than "if."

For aspiring CPAs seeking additional support, Blake offers a group coaching program that meets monthly, providing a collaborative learning environment, accountability, and expert-led sessions. Additionally, he provides a one-on-one coaching program with biweekly meetings tailored to address individual challenges and goals.

Beyond individual coaching, Blake partners with accounting firms, MAC programs, undergraduate classes, and accounting organizations in various capacities, including delivering keynotes on CPA exam success, facilitating ongoing coaching programs, and creating customized solutions to meet specific client needs.
